The tool is used for internal management purposes and in the company’s Management Discussions and Analysis (MD&A) for management estimates of how climate change-related risks are reasonably likely to affect future financial statements and what the company is doing about it. The tool also includes Scope 1, 2 &3 GHG emission calculators.

  • The free, open-source Sustainable Procurement Toolkit contains templates and tools that help implement three critical aspects of a sustainable procurement system including an RFP Specifications Template, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Tool and Bid Evaluation Tool.

In this webinar you’ll discover:

  • As your business grows, so does the need to implement more robust or advanced systems, including those needed to establish, track and report on key sustainability metrics. It can be very confusing to identify where to start, which metrics are of the greatest importance to your business or would have the most impact if NOT reported on. It can also be challenging to allocate resources and personnel to establish the necessary systems as often they’re already multitasking within their job role.

  • Larger corporations with extended stakeholder groups or public reporting requirements need to efficiently navigate sustainability metrics, track their performance and report on their activities with transparency and consistency. They also need to improve their performance over time in financial, ecological and social aspects, all of which have specific business risks to be addressed including climate change & resource management, supply chain & procurement impacts and their social conduct as a business. Failure to report could have dire implications to the business’ reputation, their ability to trade publicly or have dire cost repercussions when not fully aware and prepared to respond to market changes.

  • Cities and municipalities have complex systems that rely on the organization's ability to know its needs and efficiently respond to them. They have a unique position in that their success is directly linked to servicing the needs of their constituents safely and effectively. They also have complex stakeholder relationships with a wide variety of groups including homeowners, businesses, faith communities, and special interest groups; all of which share mutual interests in the health of their living environment. Failure to have systems in place and to report on their performance for ecological, social and economic indicators can impact these organizations ability to function well. Additionally, learning how to more sustainably manage their complex supply chains can negatively impact the city or municipality’s operations.
